SWEDISH MASSAGE

A Swedish massage is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long, gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But the benefits of Swedish massage go beyond relaxation. It can help increase the level of oxygen in the blood and improve circulation and flexibility

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

A deep tissue massage may improve circulation, reduce minor aches and pain, increase range of motion, and ease inflammation. According to a study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, deep tissue massage helped to lower blood pressure after just one session.

PRENATAL MASSAGE

Prenatal massage can help to relieve aches in your back and neck, and address leg cramps. Fewer aches and pains can lead to a better night’s sleep. Prenatal massage can also improve circulation, help reduce nervous tension, and help relieve depression or anxiety. Remember to speak with your OBGYN first to decide if prenatal massage is right for you.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

During a trigger point session, our therapists pulsate, or press rhythmically on a specific area of the body to locate the nodules, then gently apply pressure to release the irritated tissue. Trigger point therapy reduces pain, relieves tension, and increases range of motion. It not only unlocks tension in one part of the body, it’s a great way to increase overall circulation and help muscles regain their full function.

CUPPING

Cupping is a traditional Chinese technique that relies on negative pressure, creating suction on the skin, as opposed to the tissue compression techniques that are normally used during a massage Suction cups are used to pull blood to the surface of the skin, which is thought to improve circulation and promote healing. Cupping therapy helps relieve aching muscles, releases joint stiffness, and may reduce inflammation for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.

CHAIR MASSAGE

A chair massage focuses on the areas of your back, shoulders, neck, arms, and hands with the most tension. You are massaged over your clothes without any use of massage oil. When getting a chair massage, you sit in a special chair that has a downward angled cradle for your face to rest on, and supports for resting your arms.
